Julia Reece

Julia’s primary focus is in the areas of Probate, Guardianship/Conservatorship, and Trust Administration. Julia is responsible for guiding clients through some of life’s most sensitive matters with empathy and expertise.

Julia's legal career began as an intern and Law Clerk at several prominent law offices in the Lee’s Summit and Kansas City areas. Julia earned her B.A. in Liberal Arts with a minor in German from the University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC), followed by her J.D. from UMKC School of Law. Throughout her time in law school, Julia worked as the Public Relations Director for the Association for Women Lawyers (AWL) where she remains an active member. Additionally, Julia also worked as a secretary for the Trust Society and Office of Admissions Student Emissary Estates.

Julia is an avid cross-country traveler. She has explored various European destinations including the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands, where she studied abroad at The Hague. Julia is very involved in her community, frequently volunteering as a preschool teacher and playing in the orchestra at First Baptist Church since 2014. Julia stays active by participating in pickleball or tennis and may spend her leisure time playing board games or cooking. Additionally, Julia is very involved in the equestrian world, showing and caring for her four horses (plus two cats). Julia participates in local horse shows and parades including the Ozark Empire Fair, the Bates County Fair and the Lawrence Old Fashioned Christmas Parade.
